Well, it's that time of the year again where I dig out a bunch of pictures from the last twelve months. The years are definitely getting shorter!
2018 has been a bit of an odd year. It's been a test, getting back pitch side and also back into the studio, but also provided some great memories. None greater than photographing the outstanding Mastersystem back in May - their debut album Dance Music was definitely my album of the year, and it was great to see it performed live. This show also proved to be somewhat poignant to me, as it was only a matter of days before singer Scott Hutchison would tragically take his own life - something that has also had quite an impact on me this year.
This year has also been the first year that I've avoided the festival scene, which was a little surreal, but it was good to have a summer recharging and relaxing, and hopefully I'll make a return to a muddy field next year. Maybe.
As ever, thanks to all the awesome bands that I've photographed, the awesome clients who've commissioned me, the fans who've put up with me blocking their view for 2-3 songs (particularly the lady at the Rolling Stones, who paid a ridiculous amount of money for her tickets and made no secret of it), and all the people who've supported me this year. Couldn't have done it without you.
Here's hoping to a prosperous 2019, with more opportunities on the horizon.
